Primary Job Functions

Administrative

  • Perform audits on repairs done by teams
  • Ensure work orders are completed and works are documented
  • Asses escalation calls and dispatch EM’s according to needs
  • Ensure constant and effective communication with production shift supervisors
  • Create reports based on daily activities logged
  • Oversee the attendance, overtime and overall employee commitment
  • Ensure adequate coverage at all times (breaks, absence, vacation, etc.)
  • Ensure control of company supplied work tools
  • Ensure adequate resources are allocated
  • Plan and schedule maintenance tasks and promote maintenance schedule adherence
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Ensure that all SOP’s and practices are followed

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

  • Perform unplanned/reactive electrical, mechanical repairs (2nd level support)
  • Technical escalation for equipment operator
  • Non-technical support for equipment operators
  • System performance monitoring and operational status awareness
  • Diagnosis of general electrical and mechanical faults

Planned Maintenance

  • Perform planned electrical and mechanical maintenance work orders
  • Execution and documentation of maintenance activities
  • Exchange and set up of electrical/mechanical parts
  • Perform the required cleaning of equipment

Requirements:

MUST be able to travel for initial 3-4 weeks for training within North America (Paid training period with travel per diem)

MUST be willing to work either afternoon or night shifts (Non rotating)

Willingness to work in an ambient and a freezer environment is a must

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Electrical and/or Mechanical Qualification
  • Completed Trade School as Electromechanic (a requirement)

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Good mechanical maintenance and repair skills
  • Practical attitude and ability to learn new tasks
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Must be able to work at heights exceeding 20 meters
  • Must be able to work days and nights
  • Familiarity with AC up to 600/400/480 volt and DC up to 24 volt
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring
  • Familiarity with electrical/mechanical drive technology (i.e. motors and gears)
  • Familiarity with control technology (i.e. controls/inverter)
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment and machinery
  • Familiarity with PLC logic
