Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional FOH Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a fast-paced food industry environment. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn. The FOH Server is responsible for providing an outstanding dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and efficient order management.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and ensuring guest needs are promptly addressed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables without compromising service quality
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is beneficial
- Experience in hospitality or guest services roles will support success in this position
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment
