Blackbird Security is a growing security company with operations across Canada. Our Talent Acquisition team plays an important role in hiring security professionals and supporting the growth of our teams.
We are looking for motivated Recruitment Interns who are interested in building a career in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition and Human Resources.
This is a 3-month, full-time, in-office internship designed to provide hands-on exposure to the recruitment process. You will work alongside our Talent Acquisition team and learn how recruitment works in a fast-paced security environment.
This is a great opportunity for recent graduates, students and individuals looking to start a career in Recruitment or HR, especially those interested in learning about security recruitment.
What You Will Learn & Support
During the internship, you will gain exposure to different parts of the recruitment process, including:
- Supporting the Talent Acquisition team with day-to-day recruitment activities
- Reviewing resumes and applications based on job requirements
- Learning how to source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn and other recruitment channels
- Supporting candidate outreach and communication
- Assisting with initial candidate screening
- Scheduling interviews with candidates and hiring teams
- Supporting job postings and updating recruitment advertisements
- Maintaining candidate information and recruitment trackers
- Learning how to use recruitment tools and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Following up with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Supporting onboarding activities and new hire documentation
- Assisting with recruitment events, job fairs and other hiring initiatives
- Conducting basic research on recruitment trends and talent pools
- Preparing recruitment reports and tracking hiring activity
- Learning how high-volume recruitment works in the security industry
- Supporting other Talent Acquisition projects as required
