We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic PBX/Reservations Agent, who has the ability to deliver Forbes Five Star service at all times. It is essential to have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and great attention to detail. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls within three rings using The Hazelton 5* Standards.
- Process all external and internal calls by redirecting calls or assisting the caller.
- Have complete knowledge of the hotel and its facilities, knowledge of other hotels, as well as, knowledge of what events are taking place within the hotel and the city.
- Take ownership of the guests’ enquiries and reservations; ensure follow up according to the hotel standards.
- Be an ambassador of the hotel and assist guests requiring information relating to all aspects of the hotel.
- Take care of guests before they arrive through to their departure, ensuring they have an exceptional Hazelton Experience
- Respond to emails with reservation information, confirmations, and additional details.
- Receive online bookings and assure the accurate integration of reservations into the PMS.
- Liaise with travel agencies, companies, and individual guest.
- Ensure all reservations and reports are completed and emails are responded to in a timely fashion.
- Willingly perform any and all reasonable duties assigned to this department and tasks assigned to the individual.
- Keep the office area clean and orderly at all times.
- Report to work on time, meeting the Hazelton Hotel’s grooming policy.
- Pay range: $21.26 to $24.26
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel switchboard and or reservations experience in a luxury hotel preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
- Fluency in English secondary language preferred
- A passion for high quality guest service with attention to details and ability to multitask
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite required and knowledge of Opera Cloud preferred but not required
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
