Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery & HMR Clerk to join our team in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the quality of our bakery and prepared food sections. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Duties
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain merchandising standards by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product freshness
- Keep the bakery and HMR areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of work areas and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
- Support inventory management through stock rotation, and monitoring product levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and high levels of customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or food service is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock and maintain store presentation standards
- Capable of performing cleaning duties and routine maintenance tasks efficiently
- Cashiering experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety protocols
