At ProSlide, The Cost Estimation Manager is responsible for developing a team that delivers accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for waterslide systems and aquatic attractions. This role works closely with sales, engineering, design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure project pricing reflects accurate scope of work for a given opportunity. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, resourcefulness, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comes with a strong technical background to develop a greater understanding of fiberglass manufacturing, steel structures, and large-scale project delivery in order to competently deliver accurate opportunity pricing.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for waterslide and aquatic attraction projects, from conceptual design through final bid submission
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and design concepts to determine material, labor, equipment, subcontract, shipping, and installation costs
- Collaborate with sales enablement and design teams to evaluate design alternatives, scope options and value-engineering opportunities to ensure a competitive opportunity bid
- Develop standardized estimating tools, cost models, and databases for materials, labor rates, and production processes
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on RFQs and review vendor and subcontractor quotations and assess scope completeness to mitigate scope gaps
- Support sales and sales enablement teams with pricing strategies, margin analysis, and bid form documentation
- Assess project risks and mitigating factors related to manufacturing complexity, logistics, site conditions, and schedule
- Collaborate with project management and finance teams to track historical project costs and compare estimates to actuals to improve estimating accuracy
- Participate in bid review meetings and present cost breakdowns to management
- Review project contracts to ensure alignment with delivered costing scope

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of cost estimating experience in manufacturing, construction, or large-scale custom projects
- Experience with fiberglass, steel fabrication, mechanical systems is a benefit
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle costs, including manufacturing, freight, installation, and commissioning
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Python or similar programs is a benefit
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Expected salary range: $75,000-$90,000
