The Administrative Assistant, Carseland is accountable for providing efficient and confidential administrative and HR support to meet the needs of the Carseland Plant. The position provides calendar/meeting management, travel arrangements, expense management and other projects for Plant General Manager and other site Leadership. This position supports HR by processing payroll, HR transactions, schedule changes and interpreting HR time entry policies.

Key Tasks:
Provides administrative support to Plant General Manager and site leadership.
Process HR transaction requisitions through Nutrien’s HR system. Work with the HR shared service centre on transaction processing.
Coordination of: meetings and events, travel, catering orders and clean up, interoffice and external mail, announcements, and office supplies.
Enter time entries into payroll interface for various departments and perform payroll audits.
Provide employees HR program support.
Coordinating with the HR Shared Service Centre to ensure effective HR service delivery.
Production and distribution of Human Resource monthly reports; including headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics.
Department personnel file management and management of HR storage room.
Backup other site administrative assistants

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions, and exercise judgment on sensitive/ confidential issues.
Highly proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Outlook;
Working knowledge of SAP-HR;
Superior attention to detail with an excellent command of English grammar as well as experience of editing and proofreading documents;

Level of Formal Education (High School, Diploma, Degree): High School Diploma
Designation(s) and/or Certification(s): HR Certificate considered an asset
At least 3 years of relevant payroll and/or HR experience
