Key Responsibilities:
Account receivable duties:
- Process deposits (cheques, PAW, and credit card payments).
- Provide customer service to parents regarding school fees and payments.
- Prepare massive invoicing for new school year fees (July)
- Adjust invoices for new and returning students, including tuition assistance.
- Review all bursary applications, prepare bursary files
- Monitor collections
- Prepare invoicing for extended day
- Send statements of accounts to families.
- Complete banking activities twice a month (1st and 15th)
Payroll function:
- Ensure that all employee timesheets are entered properly and ready for processing. Follow up with employees and managers regarding missing or incomplete timesheets and required approvals/signatures.
GST & QST Remittance:
- Handle GST & QST claims for Academy and Foundation
Tax Receipts:
- Preparation work for tax receipts due February 28th
Bank reconciliations:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations in Academy and foundation
Miscellaneous
- Year-end work with auditors
- Conduct police verifications
- Order Plaques
- Maintain organized records and communicate pertinent financial or operational information to the Director of Finance in a timely manner.
- Ensure monthly deadlines and deliverables are consistently met.
- Support additional finance and administrative projects as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Qualifications:
- High school/ CEGEP diploma or equivalent; relevant accounting or finance education is a plus.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and French in order to communicate with parent body.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a positive school environment.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
