Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights. In this role you will assist the Chef with maintaining standards, inventory management, food prep, food production and ordering. This job is unique in that we cook from a food truck for a full service Brewery with a focus on simple scratch made menus. This job requires someone who can work independently and able to stay calm when things get busy and maintain standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold standards of quality and consistency.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, promoting teamwork, safety, and professional development.
- Oversee inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Support menu planning and recipe development to keep offerings within our brand standards of local and in house made.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment adhering to health codes and safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a fast-paced restaurant
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on scratch cooking in a casual establishment
- Strong background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with inventory management, control procedures, and cost optimization strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse small team effectively
- Hands-on experience in food service management
- Knowledge of working in a food truck is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
