Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks across long-distance routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and freight documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment related to freight handling when required
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in long-haul operations
- Knowledge of forklift operation and freight handling procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently for extended periods and manage time effectively
- Physical capability to load, unload, and handle freight as required
