The Role
We are seeking an experienced and mature Restaurant Manager who thrives under pressure and possesses deep operational knowledge of busy restaurants and pub culture. In this role, you won't just be overseeing shifts; you will be the driving force behind both the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH), ensuring seamless communication, impeccable service, and a motivated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations across both FOH and BOH to maintain high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness.
- Team Leadership & Motivation: Act as a mature, grounded leader who inspires staff, resolves conflicts calmly, and fosters a positive, high-energy team environment.
- Financial & Inventory Control: Oversee labor costs, food/beverage costs, and inventory management.
- Tech & Systems Management: Confidently utilize and manage modern POS systems to streamline operations and reporting.
- Guest Relations: Maintain The Judge & Jury’s long-standing reputation by engaging with regulars and ensuring every guest has a stellar experience.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of proven restaurant management experience, ideally within a high-volume pub or gastro pub environment.
- Expert Expertise: Deep, extensive knowledge of British pub food, craft beers, wines, and spirits. You should know your lagers from your ales and your pairings inside and out.
- Technical Savvy: High proficiency with restaurant POS systems and back-office software.
- Availability: Absolute willingness and availability to work peak hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Character: A mature, responsible, and hands-on professional who leads by example and remains cool during the Friday night rush.
