Labourer in Acheson, AB

Full-time Seasonal – IN AND OUT OF TOWN WORK

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Mains Duties & Responsibilities:
This position will be part of the Lafrentz Road Marking Durables Department. This position will be based out of Acheson, but will require working out of town, approximately 50% of the time, and occasional night shifts. As a Labourer you will be responsible for complying with safe working procedures and practices while you contribute to the teams various projects. Versatility, flexibility, and a positive attitude are required in this position. Your responsibility is to provide support services to the Durables Department in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED an asset
Valid driver’s license (Class 5) along with a recent abstract is required
Must own a reliable transportation (no public transit in Acheson)
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Must be able to perform manual labour (ability to lift from 30kg up to 50kg)
Willing to work out of town for up to 2 weeks’ at a time (Work in AB, BC, SK & MB)
Willing to work occasional night shifts
Construction experience would be an asset
Experience with safety regulations and safe practices
Must be able to work in uncertain outdoor conditions
Ability to work overtime hours
