About the Role
As a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of pelvic floor conditions across diverse patient populations. You'll work independently, with your own private room, while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pelvic health assessments, including internal examinations (where appropriate and with patient consent)
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Educate patients on pelvic health, exercise, and self-management strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
- Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinic culture
Qualifications
Required:
- Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the provincial regulatory college
- Completion of post-graduate training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy (or currently pursuing certification)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience treating prenatal and postpartum patients
- Additional training in chronic pain, exercise therapy, or women's health
