Accessible Transportation Driver

Care Accessible Transportation is hiring professional drivers for our Winnipeg accessible transportation service starting November 1, 2026.
This is scheduled, consistent work — not gig driving.
You'll drive a company-provided wheelchair-accessible Toyota Sienna, helping passengers get safely to medical appointments, work, and other important destinations.

Care Accessible Transportation has been in business for 30+ years, with some drivers staying with the company for 5, 10, even 20+ years.
What You'll Do
- Provide safe, reliable, door-to-door transportation
- Assist passengers using wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, and other mobility aids
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment safely
- Follow assigned trips and communicate with dispatch
- Collect fares as required
- Complete vehicle safety inspections
- Treat every passenger with patience, dignity, and respect
What We're Looking For
You should have:
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F driver's licence
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Functional English reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to physically assist passengers and secure mobility equipment
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and customer service
Experience in paratransit, accessible transportation, patient transfer, taxi, shuttle, transit, delivery, or similar professional driving is an asset.
No Accessible Transportation Experience?
We'll train you — and pay you while you learn.
You'll receive training in wheelchair securement, passenger assistance, service procedures, and vehicle safety before your first shift.
We can teach the procedures.

Schedule
Service operates Monday–Sunday, including statutory holidays, with dedicated shifts of up to 12 hours.
Expected hours: 36+ per week
