Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Journeyperson and/or Red Seal certification in a relevant heavy-duty trade, such as Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic
- Strong professional experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment and/or machinery
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic ability
- Ability to confidently perform major mechanical repairs as well as general service and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and accurately diagnose problems without unnecessary parts replacement
- Valid driver's licence
- Professional, dependable and takes pride in doing the job properly

- Class 6–8 commercial trucks and tractor-trailers
- Diesel engines and emissions/aftertreatment systems

Core Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial vehicles and heavy-duty equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform engine, transmission, driveline, brake, steering and suspension repairs
- Diagnose diesel engine performance and emissions/aftertreatment issues
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections and preventive maintenance
- Use OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software and equipment to accurately identify faults
- Complete repairs efficiently and to a high professional standard
- Accurately document diagnostic findings, repairs and work performed
- Work independently while collaborating with other technicians on challenging jobs
- Maintain a safe, organized and professional work environment
