About You
As a Market Analyst, you are responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting commercial real estate market information to support brokerage teams, clients and business decision-making. You are naturally analytical, detail-oriented and curious about market trends, with a passion for transforming complex data into meaningful insights. Your expertise helps drive market intelligence, strengthen client relationships and maintain Colliers' reputation as a trusted industry leader.
In this role, you will…
- Compile and produce market reports, forecasting models and trend analyses while monitoring key industry metrics, including vacancy, absorption, inventory deliveries and cap rates.
- Maintain and update property, company and contact databases, conduct data audits and ensure the accuracy, consistency and completeness of information across reporting platforms.
- Develop detailed analyses of major asset classes, providing insights into property performance, leasing activity, sales trends and evolving market conditions.
- Partner with brokers and sales professionals by responding to research requests, contributing to marketing strategies and providing market expertise during client meetings and presentations.
- Deliver training on research tools and best practices, mentor new team members and collaborate closely with research, sales and operational teams to support business objectives.
- Lead research initiatives and special projects, ensuring timely completion while identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes and market intelligence capabilities.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 2 years of research experience, preferably within commercial real estate, combined with post-secondary education in business, economics, real estate or a related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables and advanced functions, along with strong PowerPoint presentation capabilities.
- Experience managing and validating large datasets and databases, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality control.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting information to stakeholders and clients.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and contribute to a positive, knowledge-sharing environment.
- A proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously learn about commercial real estate markets and industry trends.
