Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Cabin Cleaner with the flexibility to work as an occasional Assistant Resort Manager. This dual-role position is vital to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction at our resort. The ideal candidate will possess strong cleaning skills, entry level experience in hospitality or custodial services, and a proactive approach to leadership and guest service. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our guest experience while developing management skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping & Quality Control (Primary Focus):
- Clean guest cabins thoroughly according to lodge standards.
- Inspect cabins cleaned by other staff on busy days to ensure quality control.
- Run laundry operations and ensure all linens are folded and stored neatly.
- Clean and prepare rental boats in the morning on high-volume days.
- Resort Operations & Guest Services (On Manager Days Off):
- Manage the camp store, greet guests, and handle face-to-face cabin check-ins.
- Answer all incoming phone calls and respond promptly to guest emails.
- Take, process, and log call-in reservations for both cabins and boat rentals.
- Process customer payments and manage open/close cash counts.
- Handle walk-up boat rentals and deliver clear safety and operational demonstrations to guests.
- Basic Property Utilities:
- Monitor and manage the water system (turning cabin and main water tanks on and off during fill cycles).
Skills
- Strong eye for cleanliness and efficiency in room turnovers. cleaning experience is desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and assisting guests when necessary.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Flexibility to perform additional duties related to resort management when required.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction.
