Pediatric Dental Assistant
We are a growing pediatric dental specialty office seeking a compassionate, energetic, and highly organized Dental Assistant to join our team. Our practice provides comprehensive pediatric care, including sleep dentistry, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide, and we are looking for someone who is confident working with children of all ages.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the dentist during pediatric restorative and surgical procedures
- Supporting sedation appointments (oral sedation, nitrous oxide, and sleep dentistry)
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and treatment rooms
- Providing clear, child‑friendly explanations to help young patients feel comfortable
- Taking radiographs and maintaining accurate charting
- Communicating with parents regarding treatment, after‑care, and appointment details
- Maintaining a positive, calm, and supportive environment for children and families
Qualifications:
- Certified Leve I/ II Dental Assistant (CDA)
- Experience in pediatric dentistry or sedation dentistry is an asset
- Strong communication skills and a patient, gentle approach
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, child‑focused environment
- CPR certification
