POSITION SUMMARY:
The Membership Supervisor is responsible for ensuring exceptional member experience by overseeing the delivery and continuous improvement of membership services. This role supports membership engagement, growth and retention through effective service delivery, staff development, and the management of membership systems and processes. As a member of the Balsillie Branch leadership team, the Membership Supervisor contributes to a positive workplace culture and operational excellence.

SALARY RANGE: $49,045 - $52,965 annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Membership Services Operations & Delivery:
- Responsible for overseeing daily membership operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and a high standard of customer experience using The Y Way program standards.
- Manage front-line service functions, supporting staff in problem-solving, and ensuring membership systems are accurate and up to date.
Staff Recruitment, Training & Mentorship:
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of Membership Services staff.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to ensure consistent service excellence and alignment with organizational standards and procedures.
Customer Experience & Retention:
- Promote a culture of exceptional customer service by implementing strategies that enhance member satisfaction and retention.
- Support ongoing staff training aligned with established service standards and best practices.
Membership Systems & Program Administration:
- Act as the primary resource for membership software and systems, including troubleshooting, staff support, and ensuring programs and services are properly configured.
- Oversee membership programs such as financial assistance, corporate memberships, and special arrangements.
Financial Management & Administration:
- Manage membership-related financial processes, including refunds, cancellations, revenue tracking, and expense management.
- Review daily cash reconciliations and complete bank deposits while supporting budget development and monitoring.
Marketing & Member Engagement:
- Assist in the development and distribution of promotional materials and program information to support membership growth and engagement.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:
- University/College degree in a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required.
- YMCA supervisory and/or aquatics experience an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years in the customer service and sales industry.
- Program development experience.
- Program and budget management experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
