Duties:
- Current shifts to be covered are every Monday , various other weekdays, with the occasional weekend as needed
- Basic opening and closing duties (put out and bring in signs, unlock/lock the door, etc)
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Lifting and moving mattresses around the store when needed
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
- Fill out invoices thoroughly and accurately
- Complete basic mathematical calculations and tax calculations accurately
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Update inventory spreadsheets
- Keep accurate sales records
- Work directly with business owner to ensure overall store success
- Occasionally responsible to field business communications (calls and texts to the shop phone, emails, etc)

This position provides competitive compensation and flexible/casual hours. There is a base hourly rate that can be transitioned to commision based pay depending on performance. Rates of pay and commission are negotiable. If you are successful with sales, you will receive great compensation for your time.
Being a relaxed work environment, this would be an idea position for a student, retired person, or part time worker. You would be awarded plenty of time in between customers to complete school work or side work, as long as you can put that work aside when you are required to attend to customers. The work is not demanding, but does require attention to detail.
