What Will You Work On?
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team in Toronto that will be responsible for in-market delivery of projects on behalf of the AIR MILES Reward Program (AMRP), with experience in managing cross-functional business projects.
The Program Implementation Group at The AIR MILES® Reward Program oversees the execution of both short- and long-term AMRP Strategies that deliver value to Members, Partners and the Program by leveraging a combination of people, processes and tools to achieve best-in-class results. The group works directly with program partners, internal business departments and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of all projects to market.
How Will You Create Impact?
Managing small to medium strategic projects on behalf of the AIR MILES Reward Program - from project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and to project closure - leading the project team to meet the project’s objectives and stakeholders’ expectations, working to balance the competing constraints on the project with the resources available, performing communication roles between the project sponsor, team members, and other stakeholders, and providing direction and presenting the vision of success for the project to the team, all the while demonstrating strong relationship and communication skills while displaying a positive attitude.
Contributing to Community of Practice by applying and passing on project management best practices and institutional memory, as well as contributing to continuous improvement by maintaining project artifacts, archives & tool sets.
Project Planning of small/medium projects aligned to and in support of strategic objectives (kickoff, discovery, planning, etc.).
Project Management of small/medium projects aligned to and in support of strategic objectives (monitoring, reporting, problem-solving, communicating, managing changes).
Contributing to continuous improvement of project management best practices, institutional knowledge and toolsets.
Let’s Talk About You:
3+ years of proven work experience as a junior project manager (or similar role).
Computer proficiency in MS Office applications, along with ability to quickly learn new applications.
Hands-on experience with project management tools like JIRA an asset.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification strongly desired.
Bilingual (French-English) considered an asset.
Work experience with retailers, with specific knowledge of retail marketing, retail operations, as well as technology (point-of-sale systems, websites, mobile apps).

Our COVID-19 Response
