We are a construction and contracting company seeking a permanent full-time or part-time Bookkeeper with experience in the QuickBooks accounting system. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Word and Excel, well-organized, honest, punctual, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Advanced/Expert Level QuickBooks:
- Handling multiple entities with intercompany transactions
- Managing payroll using QuickBooks
- Maintaining tax documents
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Inputting invoices, expenses, credits, and adjusting entries
- Running required government tax forms
- Generating job cost reports
- Managing HST and WSIB remittances
- Processing credit card transactions
- Staying knowledgeable about current Provincial and Federal guidelines
General Office Support:
- Answering phones and taking messages
- Monitoring and responding to AP and AR requests via email and telephone
- Proficiency in MS Office
- General office administration
- Creating spreadsheets with minimal information to produce useful data
- Filing documents and retrieving them from the archive
- Demonstrating a solid work ethic with punctuality, work completion, and effective communication with other employees and customers
- Carrying out administrative duties assigned by managers
