We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System. This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!
As part of our commercial launch, we are growing our Manufacturing team and looking for talented Production Technicians to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the production of life-changing medical devices and help bring them to the patients who need them.
We are actively recruiting for multiple positions, and applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Additional Shift Details
- This is a full-time, onsite position based in Burnaby, BC.
- The role follows a rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts one week, and four 12-hour shifts the next, with shifts running from 7:00am to 7:30pm.
- Candidates must be available to work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) on a consistent basis and be willing to work statutory holidays as required to support operational needs.
- Upon joining Kardium, for the first few weeks, Production Technicians will participate in a comprehensive onboarding and training program. During this period, the training schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Following successful completion of training, employees will transition to their assigned permanent shift schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Working on the production line and meeting production targets
- Assembling products and parts by following precise work instructions and specifications
- Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment
- Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products
- Reporting any issues to the supervisors and/or production manager on duty
- Finalizing and packaging products for shipment
- Following health and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor
- Performing other tasks as assigned
Work Environment & Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be able to:
- Wear full cleanroom personal protective equipment (PPE), including a gown, gloves, face mask, and other required protective gear, for extended periods throughout your shift.
- Stand or sit at a workstation for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
- Perform repetitive fine motor tasks requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and sustained hand-eye coordination, including microscope-based work.
- Work effectively in a controlled cleanroom environment while following strict manufacturing, quality, and contamination-control procedures.
- Meet the physical requirements of working in a regulated manufacturing environment and safely perform the essential duties of the role.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
- High school diploma and available for shift work
- Chemical background/knowledge required
- Previous experience working in manufacturing environment is beneficial
- Prior exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices and working in a cleanroom would be helpful
- Excellent hand-eye coordination especially when working with a microscope
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including maturity, teamwork, respect, courtesy, tact, and discretion
- Ability to deal with changing priorities and requirements
- A strong drive to succeed with a track record of being highly productive
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
- $20 - $25 CAD hourly (including 5% RRSP)
