Industrial Operations Supervisor
SOUTHLAND is currently seeking an independent, service-oriented leader to join our team in the role of Industrial Operations Supervisor near Lanigan. Reporting to the Saskatchewan Operations Manager, this role is key in developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and staff. This position is accountable for all industrial operations in the province.
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter who can both identify areas for improvement and also implement change, will provide excellent customer service and offer solutions to our clients, and be skillful at building genuine relationships with both staff and customers to create a positive working environment. The shift schedule for this position is 7 days on / 7 days off, staying in camp.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Post-secondary education or equal experience with an emphasis on management and customer service
- Previous transportation operations experience preferred
- Class 2A driver’s license or higher considered an asset
- Superior communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
- Expertise in organizational planning and problem solving
- Knowledge of WCB and OHS regulations
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delegate responsibilities to operations staff
- Ensure routes and shuttles are covered in an efficient and fair manner
- Ensure that drivers and staff are treated in a fair and consistent manner using the guidelines and rules set down in the Driver’s Handbook
- Host monthly safety meetings with staff
- Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and finding solutions to concerns raised
- Inform Training & Development of open routes and monitor progression of new trainees
- Organize fleet maintenance with outside suppliers
- Ensure operation follows all federal, provincial, contractual and company policies, procedures and standards
- Approve bi-weekly payroll
- Organize employee shift schedules, bus schedules, and maintenance scheduling
