Lloydminster Public Library is looking for an outgoing person to fill a permanent part-time position providing basic customer services to the public and shelving library materials. You must enjoy working with people, have previous customer service experience and completed grade 12 or equivalent. A love of reading and an awareness of popular materials is essential as is familiarity with computers and basic office technology. Formal library training and a current Standard First Aid/CPR certificate is desirable.

You must be able to lift and position books (2-4 kg) and other materials on 6' high shelves and move book carts and lift boxes of up to 20 kg weight. Evening and weekend work is a requirement of this position. Your schedule will consist of morning (10am to 2pm), evening (5pm to 9m) and Friday-Saturday days (10am to 6pm) shifts and will average 15-20 hours/week over a three week cycle. Additional shifts covering vacations, training and illness will be available.

Upon completion of a three month probationary period you will eligible to participate in our benefits program which includes 3 weeks vacation (choice of vacation pay or paid vacation leave), group RRSP and extended health/dental benefits plan.
