Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and professional dental team. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take digital radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker or similar dental software
- Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Ensure the sterilization of dental instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, especially with pediatric patients or orthodontics
- Proficiency in Tracker or other dental practice management software is desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve our multilingual community
- Experience in dental assisting or related roles will be considered an asset
