Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, providing exceptional guest service, and ensuring a clean and organized bar area. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management, food safety knowledge, and the ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Use POS systems like Micros POS for order entry and cashiering functions
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent guest services
- Upsell drinks and menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and adhere to responsible alcohol service policies
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as needed in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food industry or serving experience is advantageous but not required
- Must be at least 18 years old with proper food handling certifications if applicable
