This role involves basic concrete flatwork prepping, placing & finishing (ie. sidewalks, slabs, stairs, curbs, etc). Employees will show up on time (sober), have a positive attitude (mostly), solid level of independence and a willingness to teach and be taught. Duties
- Set up and install formwork using carpentry skills, including reading blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate placement.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely for concrete placement and finishing tasks.
- Install rebar and other reinforcement materials according to engineering specifications.
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces with hand tools and proper finishing techniques.
- Coordinate with material deliveries, sub-contractors & site superintendents
- Coordinate with team members to ensure proper sequence of operations during construction projects.
- Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces, ensuring smoothness, alignment, and structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in concrete finishing & form setting.
- Well-developed knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading is essential.
- Proficient in English and communications.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of concrete forming techniques and hand tool proficiency.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work as needed.
- Construction experience with a focus on safety standards is required.

Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour
