We are looking to hire a Retail Sales Associate at our Langley location through the support of the Canada Summer Jobs Program. This is a full time summer contract position of 8 weeks and would be ideal for a student.
Eligibility Requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Program
· Must be 18 – 30 years of age
· Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
· Must have a Social Insurance Number
Working at a Habitat for Humanity Restore you will have a role in helping hardworking families break the cycle of poverty through home ownership. The Restore retail stores are a social enterprise that help cover Habitat’s overhead costs so donations can go directly toward helping more families achieve home ownership.

Job Summary
· Full time, weekdays and weekends required
· Assist customers with purchases and questions
· Spend long periods of time on your feet
· Ability to multi-task
· Prices new and used items and moves them from the receiving area to the sales floor
· Assists in unloading the ReStore trucks and large corporate donations
· Moderate to heavy repetitive lifting required (50+lbs)
Education and Experience
· Experience in a retail environment is an asset
· English is required both spoken and written
