Established in 1975, PHARA is a local, volunteer governed, non-profit charitable organization providing services to individuals in the communities of North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, Verner, Cache Bay, Mattawa, Thessalon, Thessalon First Nation, Iron Bridge, and Bruce Mines. PHARA’s 100 employees and 20 volunteers provide Attendant Care Supportive Housing, Attendant Outreach, Post Stroke Rehabilitation, and Transition to Home, Congregate Care, Meals on Wheels and a Medical Equipment Loan-Out Program. PHARA and its’ partnering non-profit charitable organization The Physically Handicapped Adults’ Rehabilitation Association Westwinds Heights operate 3 non-profit housing complexes providing 143 rental units for families in North Bay.
The Homemaker will assist clients with homemaking activities in order to maintain independence. The successful candidate will have experience in cleaning and cooking, as well as have excellent communication and customer service skills. Bilingual English / French is an asset.
