Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated excavation equipment operator and survey technician. The successful candidate will have experience in operating equipment while assisting with construction layout and surveying to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Duties
- Operate Trimble Survey equipment to establish grades, elevations, and project control points to ensure accurate construction.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation for civil and commerical contruction projects.
- Manage collected data efficiently, ensuring proper storage in databases and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to interpret survey data and support construction layout activities.
- Maintain calibration and routine maintenance of survey equipment to ensure precision.
- Follow safety protocols during field operations to promote a safe working environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Prior experience working in construction or land surveying is preferred but not mandatory.This role is integral to delivering precise surveying services that support construction projects and geographic data analysis. Candidates should be detail-oriented team players eager to contribute their technical skills in a dynamic environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset)
- Local candidates preferred.
Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
