Develops segment specific Product and Service Offerings (PSOs), and commercialization plans with Sales Team to ensure effective implementation
Focuses on developing the specific Market sub segments inline with Messers long term growth strategies via promoting the new products, differentiating service offers, and leveraging ebusiness channel to markets.
Oversees and drives the execution of the marketing strategies , campaigns, events, Digital marketing and communications
Manages the companies social media presence , promote the product and service offering via eChannels, webshop, website,.
Works Closely with IS and ebusiness teams to help building the Messers new website, and enhancing Webshop functionalities to effectively introduce and promote Messers products and services and to support the sales and growth objectives for Messer Canada.
Manages the product mix including the Private Branding to ensure sustainable sales and profit growth including portfolio optimization and product management processes and tools
Delivers leading edge Long-term, medium term and short term business strategies to achieve sales and profit objectives
Develops channel specific plans and offers that deliver customer value
Works closely with the sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing the appropriate tools, materials , training, and presentations.
Identifies relevant industry and market trends and formulates plans to take advantage of them to achieve business growth
Works collaboratively with Directors of Sales, Retail and Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain Manager, and Procurement team.
Undertakes continuous analysis of the competitive market and customer trends
Develops specific plan for merchandising and walking business for all Retail stores
Develops strategy to support Welding and Cutting specialists to achieve a sustainable collaboration with the Sales Team
Entertains relationship with Hard Goods Vendors through various meetings or discussions. Takes part in pricing and rebates negotiations with vendors and establishes a strategy for Major Vendors by working closely with Procurement team.
Leads, performance manages, coaches and motivates team members
Ensures team members understand specific accountabilities and are provided with feedback and support where required
Implement the KPIs for the team which are in line with Business and safety objectives, and marketing plans, to measure and manage Teams success effectively.
Establishes and manages cost center budgets
Ensures appraisals and IDPs (Individual Development Plans) are produced and actioned for all team members
Provides visible leadership for group safety initiatives and ensure a safe working culture is entrenched within the business, complying with safety and security standards and regulations
Actively supports and complies with global, national and regional business initiatives
Required education & skills
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Science or Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing and Communication
Minimum 10 years of experience in Business to Business environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in Welding and Metal Fabrication knowledge and Experience will be a plus.
