Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. This vital role supports pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have prior pharmacy technician experience, hospital experience is a plus, and possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing supplies
- Provide excellent patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness in accordance with legal and regulatory standards
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper handling of pharmaceuticals and documentation procedures
- Support medication administration processes within hospital settings as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Pharmacy Technician with relevant licensing or certification
- Prior pharmacy technician experience, preferably within retail pharmacy
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Experience with kroll
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
