Facility Maintenance
Sand Tiger Lodge is an oil sands workforce camp located 43 Km south of Fort McMurray, Alberta on Highway 63 (near Hangingstone).
Sand Tiger Lodge is hiring for the position of Facility Maintenance. The position is full time with benefits consummate with the current company policy. The successful person will generally work 20 days on/10 days off. This schedule may be subject to change as conditions arise.
Compensation is negotiable based on qualifications.
Job Summary
- Respond to requests for repairs to the inside or outside of the building
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Experience in HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing required
- Handyman experience advantageous
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance
- Attend safety and staff meetings as required
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
- Be dependable in work performance
- Be organized
- Assist other team members and staff as required
- Always adhere to company policies
- Perform additional duties as required by supervisor
Compensation
- Negotiable based on skills and experience
- Benefits as outlined in the personnel handbook, subject to policy changes
- Allowance for travel, as outlined by the company policy
Experience and Skills
- Technical abilities
- Advantageous to have experience operating equipment like backhoe and skid steer
- Able to work quickly under pressure

- Physical ability, including bending, crouching and kneeling
- Prior work force camp experience
