Position Summary
Acumen Logistics Ltd. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Service & Dispatch Coordinator to manage day-to-day customer communications and coordinate transportation operations. This role acts as the key link between customers, drivers, carriers, and warehouse/3PL partners to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient freight movement.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional manner
- Provide shipment updates, resolve service issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Enter and update order/shipment details in the system accurately
Dispatch Operations
- Schedule and dispatch drivers or carriers based on daily requirements
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with customers and 3PL warehouse partners
- Monitor shipments in transit and proactively address delays or issues
- Maintain communication with drivers to ensure timely execution of deliveries
Administrative & Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, PODs, and delivery confirmations
- Coordinate with warehouse/3PL providers for inventory movement and order fulfillment
- Assist in preparing reports on dispatch activity, delays, and service performance
- Support billing and documentation as required
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or customer service (must)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic logistics/dispatch systems (TMS experience is an asset)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours when required in a logistics environment
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Only Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered for this position
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
