Warehouse labourer Job Description
The warehouse labourer is responsible for performing various physical tasks within a warehouse environment. These may include loading and unloading goods, packing and labeling products, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The job requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading goods from trucks or other vehicles
Sorting and placing goods on shelves or racks
Picking and packing orders for shipment
Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
Keeping the warehouse clean and organized
Performing regular inventory checks
Assisting with shipping and receiving processes
Following safety procedures and regulations while working in the warehouse
Requirements:
Physical fitness and endurance to perform manual labour tasks for extended periods of time
Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and ability to follow safety guidelines
Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Ability to accurately read and interpret product labels, work orders, and other written instructions
Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with other warehouse staff and supervisors
Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to perform additional warehouse duties, such as inventory management and order picking, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
