Position:
- We are seeking to add a full-time staff pharmacist to our team by the end of July
- 32 to 40 hours per week

Who we are:
- An independent community pharmacy in the heart of downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time pharmacist to join our team in providing personalized care to our patients. Our mission is to engage with the West End residents and the broader 2SLGBTQI+ community to increase knowledge and access to healthcare. Some of our current focal points include 2SLGBTQI+ vaccinations, ostomy care, and gender affirming care.
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday to Friday - 9am to 7pm
- Saturday - 10am to 6pm
- Sunday - 10am to 2pm
- Closed all statutory holidays and Pride Sunday

Qualifications:
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
- Certified for administration of injections and vaccinations
- Completion of BCPhA’s OAT-CAMPP training workshop
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working knowledge of PharmaCare’s Policy Manual and of third-party extended health policy manuals
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications in compliance with CPBC standards, provincial and federal regulations, and pharmacy policies
- Review prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
- Provide patient-centered counselling on prescription and OTC medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence
- Develop monitoring and follow-up plans as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate patient records in pharmacy software system (WinRx) and PharmaNet
- Provide services or referrals where appropriate and in accordance with Pharmacare and CPBC regulations (MACS, adaptations, injections and vaccinations, medication reviews, etc.)
- Participate in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate closely with local physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals
- Manage inventory including ordering, expiry control, and narcotic management
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, assistants, and students
- Support leadership in maintaining efficient workflow, patient safety, and operational excellence
