Position: Power BI Developer | Data Analyst
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Are you passionate about data and reporting? Perfect! We're on the lookout for a dynamic Power BI Developer | Data Analyst to join our engineering group. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for managing and improving our reporting systems and data lake. Your work will directly support our finance, operations, sales, and marketing teams, helping them make informed decisions with awesome reports.
Reporting Stack
- E-commerce Platform: Magento
- Database: MySQL
- Data Lake: Redshift
- Reporting Tools: Power BI, Zoho Analytics, Excel
- Automation: Power Automate
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with end users to understand their reporting needs.
- Automation: Set up automated workflows with Power Automate to send files to SharePoint.
- Data Management: Create SQL queries and Power BI models to gather necessary data.
- Visualization: Develop compelling Power BI report visuals.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of data in reports.
- Review & Feedback: Work with end users to verify that reports meet expectations.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues causing report refresh failures.
- Optimization: Enhance the performance of slow-refreshing reports.
- Training: Provide training and support to team members on report usage and interpretation.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in an e-commerce environment, using SQL and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Power BI, MySQL, Zoho Analytics, Power Automate, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Magento DB structure is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and gather requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
