Maclin Ford is looking for a motivated full-time Lube Tech or Apprentice to join our growing team.
Description
Apprentices are responsible for the maintenance of vehicles. Care & attention to detail are extremely important to ensure safety, and a 5-star customer experience. The ability to follow Ford service/maintenance guidelines, and clearly communicate all vehicle report card findings and recommended services for current intervals are integral to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle maintenance including lubrications, oil & filter changes, tire changeover & balance, tire rotations & accessory installations.
- Accurate completion of vehicle report card Mulitpoint inspections.
- Perform road tests to confirm repair or to verify concerns as required.
- Accurately record the cause & correction in CDK on customer repair orders.
- Completion of technician portion on MPI & related inspection forms.
- Provide Service Advisors with accurate parts & labor estimates utilizing MPI.
- Maintain and follow manufacturer warranty policies & procedures.
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates who are interested in pursuing an Automotive Journeyman/woman Apprenticeship.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to attend training courses to upgrade and develop.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and equipment such as tires.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
