Key Accountabilities:
Oversees, generates and supports new business and referrals by seeking out new mortgage leads and members outside the branch retail network through networking in the community and developing relationships with brokers, lawyers, realtors, home builders, and existing members.
Leads retail growth/sales and best practices within the retail division. The result will enhance the internal and external member experience.
Manages the relationship-building process to ensure consistency in service delivery, both externally to attract new members and internally to retain and build on previously established relationships.
Leads and identifies cross-sells and other product and services and sales opportunities while supporting sales& service culture.
Prepares and reports quarterly sales results; identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement.
Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of all mortgage products and services and their related features and benefits to effectively determine members’ financial needs, create personalized solutions, and advise on the most appropriate mortgage solution.
When required, conducts appropriate due diligence in the underwriting and documentation collection process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of mortgage applications before submission for approval.
Ensures profitability of all transactions through appropriate application of rates (discretionary pricing, risk-based lending), fees, and service charges.
When required, position may be branch based providing support in areas such as account opening, completion of member transactions and retail lending.
Achieves and/or exceeds individual/divisional targets for sales and referrals as mutually agreed upon in the annual performance cycle.
Collaboratively works with management teams to develop a consistent approach to member experience deliveries and business opportunities in the retail division.
Builds collaborative working relationships with team members external to the department and external networks within areas of specialization.
Leads in identifying and assisting with initiating programs and/or change that enhance the internal and external member experience.

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
6 - 8 years of experience in mortgage lending in Financial Services and/or real estate.
Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation an asset.
Proven ability to achieve sales goals and recognize new sales opportunities.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
