About the Role
Lift Lighting is a growing smart home and outdoor lighting company based in St. Thomas. We install permanent architectural lighting systems, low voltage landscape lighting, and custom address signs for residential clients across the region — and we're expanding our install crew.
You'll work alongside an experienced lead tech learning every aspect of the job — from running cable and mounting hardware to setting up the app and walking clients through their new system. Our goal is to have you fully confident and field-ready, with a clear path to more responsibility as the team grows.
Please note: This is a low voltage install role. We are not able to offer an electrical apprenticeship or hours toward an electrical licence. If that's what you're looking for, this position won't be the right fit.
What You'll Do
- Install permanent LED lighting systems on residential homes — rooflines, soffits, and architectural features
- Install low voltage landscape lighting and custom address signs
- Set up and configure the control app and walk clients through using their system
- Assist with troubleshooting, warranty repairs, and follow-up service visits
- Work as part of a two-person crew — always supported, never thrown in alone
What We're Looking For
- Valid G driver's licence with experience towing — you'll be operating a towable boom lift on job sites
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined or tight spaces — Working at Heights certificate is an asset
- Able to work outdoors year-round in all conditions including rain and snow — this is a four-season role
- Physically capable of lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working at height
- Comfortable with technology and willing to learn our systems and software — you'll be setting up and explaining smart home apps to clients
- Reliable, punctual, and take pride in quality work and clean installs
- Experience in electrical, construction, roofing, landscaping, or trades is an asset — not required
What We Offer
- $25/hr starting wage with growth potential as you develop
- Minimum 32 hrs/week target — hours may vary based on work volume and weather, but we aim to keep you consistently scheduled
- Employer-paid benefits after 90 days
- Seasonal schedule — April through December, with January to March off each year
- Clear path forward — we're actively building a second crew with team lead opportunities on the horizon
- Full hands-on training — you'll learn everything on the job alongside experienced technicians
