The Aqua Life Swim Academy is a premier private swim school that teaches children and adults how to swim. Our mission is to educate and motivate individuals to be safer in and around the water, and to inspire a lifelong love for the water!

We’re looking for a reliable, nurturing and energetic Swim Instructors and Lifeguards who will be responsible for the swim development and confidence-building of our students and the safety and wellbeing of all pool users.
Lifeguard
This position provides lifeguard services and information services to pool users, while positively contributing to guests’ experience and enjoyment in a safe and secure environment.
The lifeguard is responsible for monitoring and supervising all recreational swimming activities including providing lifeguard services, responding to emergency situations and enquiries from pool users and guests such as:
Monitoring instructional and recreational swimming activities, including: patrolling the pool deck and scanning the water, as well as monitoring patrons and volunteers to ensure a safe swim environment
Carrying an aid at all times, performing emergency rescues to the standard of your certifications, responding to patron inquiries, resolving problems, and performing associated education duties, and enforcement of rules and regulations
Setting up the pool deck prior to your shift and cleaning the deck following your shift
Performing other duties as assigned
Swim Instructor
As part of our fun and dynamic team, you will benefit from consistent teaching shifts with flexible hours. When appointed, you will receive advanced training in our methodology and processes.
What you will be doing:
Instruct swimming lessons following The Aqua Life methodology
Evaluate students swimming ability to determine the correct swim level
Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and order in and around the pool
Create a secure, inviting and positive experience for all participants, big or small
Quickly and efficiently respond to client questions, comments, and concerns

Qualifications:
Current National Lifeguard Certification.
Current Standard First Aid with CPR / AED level C.
For Swim Instructors: Current Lifesaving Instructor Certification or current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification and asset
