Candidate must be willing to learn and be able to work in a fast paced environment. This role will require knowledge of the Trucking industry and MS Office for data entry and running reports. The ideal candidate must have experience working with a dispatch software and MS Office.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Keeping track of expenses of drivers and employees
- Inputting EFT remittances and check payment stubs into Quickbooks
- Creating invoices for repair work done
- Following up with customers on over due invoices
- Creating reports for fuel expenses and gross revenue in Excel
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Accounting
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with a dispatch software preferred (Transplus Fleetmanager)
- Some sort of Accounting background / Designation
Further description of Scope:
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and collections
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update accounting systems
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances
- Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities
- Stay updated on technical accounting standards and provide guidance on accounting issues
Strengths Desired:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is a plus
