International Nameplate Supplies Inc. (INPS) is a "world class provider of mobile identification graphics." Our customers include (but are not limited to) the North American rail, transit, and trucking industries and various policing agencies across the continent.
We currently have an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative in our London, Ontario facility.
The ideal candidate will be a dependable, customer-focused individual with excellent communication and organizational skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service with a minimum of 5 years experience. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities, work effectively with customers and internal departments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Actively pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers. Occasional travel is required.
- Manage and maintain an assigned customer database, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Act as the main liaison between customers, Sales, and the Production Department.
- Receive customer inquiries regarding prospective, current, and past orders.
- Collect production specifications, job requirements, and customer administrative information.
- Ensure job specifications meet approved customer revision levels.
- Create manufacturing and administrative order specification forms and enter purchase orders into the Epicor (Vantage) system.
- Coordinate the preparation of written quotations and proposals and follow up through to completion.
- Prepare and coordinate bid and proposal submissions.
- Communicate with customers regarding artwork approvals, revisions, and production holds.
- Review production schedules and communicate order changes or amendments as required.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, pricing, product changes, and complaints.
- Keep Sales personnel informed of customer concerns, complaints, and required customer visits.
- Provide customers with shipment confirmations and delivery updates.
- Generate reports using Epicor and Crystal Reports software for various departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production and Customer Service Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years minimum of related customer service, sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and professional telephone skills.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn ERP systems.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work orders, company policies, procedures, and production documentation.
- Ability to prepare business correspondence, reports, and customer communications.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to accurately interpret production specifications and blueprints.
- Good judgment regarding colour and design.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing customer requirements.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a well-lit, heated, and air-conditioned office environment. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent telephone and computer use, and close visual attention to detail. Occasional travel to customer locations may be required.
