Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Teacher to join our Montessori School in Oakville. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator who values child-led learning and is committed to the Montessori philosophy.
Positions available in Toddler and Casa classrooms.
The responsibilities include:
- Creating a warm and engaging classroom environment that follows Montessori principles
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's development
- Observe and document children's progress, ensuring individualized learning experiences
- Maintain a prepared Montessori environment with appropriate materials
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Designing age-appropriate program plans weekly focused on developing social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
- Assessing children’s individual needs
- Implementing daily, weekly, and monthly Ministry of Education and Public Health requirements to meet compliance such as ratio, health and safety, program plan, etc.
Requirements:
- Montessori Diploma
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Montessori Classroom
- Standard First Aid Training and CPR Level C
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Medical and Immunization Report
