Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Window Coverings Production Worker to join our growing team. This role is essential to the smooth day-to-day operations of our warehouse and production facility. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in all aspects of our workflow—from receiving and processing orders, measuring fabrics, and managing inventory, to assisting with production, finishing, and final in-house installation. At BumbleBee Shades, we take pride in handling every step of the process ourselves to ensure consistent quality and exceptional service from start to finish.
Responsibilities
In-House Installation & Finishing
- Measure, cut, and assemble components for roller blinds, zebra blinds, and related products;
- Operate machinery and equipment used in the production;
- Follow production schedules and instructions;
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy;
- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues;
- Ensure products are properly finished and meet quality standards before delivery;
- Follow installation instructions, measurements, and safety procedures;
- Receive and organize raw materials and hardware components, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders;
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels;
- Handle fabrication and packaging of blinds and parts;
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production and warehouse areas;
- Perform duties as per daily production plans and supervisor direction.
Administrative & Order Support
- Take and input customer orders accurately into our system
- Assist with scheduling, recordkeeping, and tracking job progress
- Coordinate with the sales team to meet project deadlines
- Be prepared to switch gears and take on additional tasks and responsibilities as the business grows
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production is an asset (window coverings experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precise measurements
- Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience and first aid is an asset
