JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT POSITION
Description: This individual reports to senior management and is responsible for working with a team to prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements for the condominium corporations we oversee, while also implementing various systems and procedures.
Job Purpose / Scope: The goal of this position is to accurately account for the full cycle accounting of condominium corporations we oversee, aid in the preparation of annual operating budgets, and work with auditors for year-end document preparation. Additionally, this role focuses on creating and utilizing formalized procedures to increase the efficiency of the business operations and the team.

Duties:
Generating monthly reports and performing monthly account reconciliations
Ensure the issuance of timely and accurate financial statements every month for the entire portfolio of properties
Identify and correct Balance Sheet account exceptions
Set-up and integrate the financials for new properties that are acquired
Inputting and updating of budgets as required
Liaise with auditors and ensure that annual audits are completed in a timely manner as dictated by the Condo boards. Posting of adjusting journal entries upon receipt
Ensure tax compliance and timely returns
Liaise with Net Integrity or other software providers to resolve system discrepancies
Communicate with colleagues to establish a healthy working environment and ensure the completion of all accounting tasks
Responding to transaction inquiries and reviewing accounting transactions tolocate and resolve discrepancies
Responding to customer inquiries
Processing journal entries and ensuring appropriate support documentation is provided
Performing a variety of general accounting tasks
Ensuring internal control processes are followed accordingly
Ensures timely financial and statistical reports for management and/or Board use
Support accounting department with any ad-hoc items
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
2. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
4. Willingness to consistently provide exceptional customer service.
5. Minimum three years property accounting experience.
6. Familiarity with Quickbooks Online.
7. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
