Duties
- Assist in the loading and unloading of shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment, following all safety protocols
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Support construction-related tasks or heavy lifting activities as needed for warehouse setup or maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure safety standards are met
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles
- Mechanical knowledge for operating and troubleshooting heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading, unloading, or stock movement
- Familiarity with order picker operations and warehouse management systems (WMS) software
- Construction experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and safety regulations
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
