Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to help oversee daily kitchen operations within a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking experience, and a thorough understanding of food safety standards. This role is vital in ensuring efficient kitchen management, maintaining high-quality food service, and fostering a positive team atmosphere. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a key role in assisting the chef with supervising staff, managing food handling procedures, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality and food industry excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Train and mentor team members in food safety, service techniques, and kitchen protocols
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with Chef and restaurant management to optimize workflow and customer satisfaction
- Serve as a leader during peak hours, ensuring efficient service delivery
- Assist in resolving customer concerns related to food quality or service
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant management
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality standards, and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills for effective team coordination and customer interaction
- Prior experience in restaurant or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service excellence
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to support restaurant operations
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
