The Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA) is a community-based, non-share capital corporation that operates, manages, maintains and invests in the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport and affiliate businesses. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Manager, Marketing Partnerships and Sales will enhance and implement marketing campaigns to support revenue growth and partner services sales in line with the marketing and advertising strategy for WAA. This role will oversee the implementation and reporting of strategic marketing plans and assume responsibility for database marketing activities; focusing on growing customer engagement while maintaining database principles of customer acquisition, retention and monetization.
Accountable for review and contract ownership as it relates to marketing initiatives;
Design and implementation of marketing & sales campaigns aimed to increase non-aeronautical revenue lines and to support overall customer engagement and loyalty;
Drive venue traffic, customer frequency and life-time value through successful development and execution of marketing program promotions and targeted offers;
Manage customer engagement and interaction through Customer Relationship Management database and Email marketing tools including implementation of segmented and automated email programs;
Develop reporting metrics including KPI’s and provide detailed weekly and monthly campaign summaries highlighting success, trends and opportunities;
Design, develop and maintain WAA website to be effective digital customer communication channel;
Provide leadership, mentorship and growth opportunities for a dynamic and enthusiastic team of Marketing professionals; and
Contribute to various meetings included, but not limited to: department meetings, leadership meetings, and annual strategic planning as a member of the leadership team.
Selection Criteria include:
University degree and/or college diploma in Marketing and/or equivalent years of experience, MBA or similar advanced degree an asset;
5 years’ experience in consumer marketing, partnership marketing, brand activation, media, promotions, and/or field operations/marketing, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance;
Previous budgeting and cost management skills;
Superior oral and written communication skills;
Demonstrated history managing client relationships;
Previous leadership experience;
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional business partners to achieve results;
Ability to motivate others to achieve goals and objectives in a time-sensitive environment;
Resourcefulness and the ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong prioritization skills;
Flexibility and willingness to take on additional or new responsibilities; and
Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
Condition of employment is the ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card.
